Disabled Access Consultancy
In 1995, the Disability Discrimination Act was introduced to help put an end to discrimination against disabled people.
There is now a legal obligation on property owners and their tenants to make reasonable adjustments to the building fabric.
The first stage is usually to undertake an Access Audit of the site, building and service provision. This is a specialist area and should be undertaken only by suitably qualified and experienced surveyors.
Laura Bampton is a qualified Inclusive Environment Consultant with 14 years experience of Access Auditing.
We also provide additional services, including:
- Specifying and managing adaptation work
- Writing Access Statements
- Reviewing designs and proposals, prior to commencement
- Undertaking signage surveys
- Advising and writing Access Policies and management procedures for dealing with disabled people
- Consulting with disabled users and their assistants
Please contact us for an informal discussion on any disabled access matters.
